MCA organized a panel of testimony and drew a significant portion of this crowd to Annapolis to show the support the Arts has in the state. These meetings are very long and very crowded! However, they are a key part of the legislative process - a chance for citizens to speak directly to the committees making decisions which affect the lives of people across our state.

Liz Lerman, legendary choreographer and founder of the Liz Lerman Dance Exchange, gave the keynote address at the 2010 Maryland Arts Day on February 9th.

The majestic Capitol Building on the morning of April 13th. MCA and advocates from across Maryland met with legislators and participated in an arts rally, lectures, and training as part of National Arts Advocacy Day.

The morning rally was absolutely packed with arts advocates from across the country! Americans for the Arts organized the event, and more than 50 Marylanders were there to represent our state!
